The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks have added a netminder, inking Edvard Nordlund to a tender agreement.
Nordlund, an ’01-born Swedish native, most recently played for AIK J20 in the SuperElit league overseas. He posted an .870 save-percentage in seven appearances last year.
Nordlund is not only a fine physical presence in goal, measuring at 6’2″ with exceptional athleticism, but he also comes with experience playing with some of the world’s finest young talents. He was teammates in 2018-19 with Phillip Broberg, selected 9th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. He’s had exposure to fierce tests in games and in practice, and will look to assert himself on American soil.
