Goaltender Geno Pichora and defenseman Nolan Barrett have been named Honorable Mentions for the North American Hockey League’s East Division Star of the Week, presented by Bauer Hockey.
Pichora (’03) impressed with back-to-back stellar performances in goal for the Jr. Hat Tricks up in Maine. He earned his first NAHL win Saturday evening, stopping 35 of 37 in a 3-2 victory. He followed that up with 29 saves in a hard-fought 1-0 loss.
Barrett (’00) skated in four games last week, posting five assists. His best performance came last Wednesday, notching three assists against the New Jersey Titans. Barrett now has 16 assists and 18 points in 23 games played this season.

The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks are on the road this weekend, battling the Maryland Black Bears Friday and Saturday in a continued push for the Robertson Cup Playoffs. They currently sit just two points behind the Black Bears for the fourth and final playoff spot in the division.
