Forward, Wyatt Stefan grabbed two goals and an assist in tonight’s contest, along with goaltender, Lukas Fursten, making 23 saves on 27 shots, the Hat Tricks fall to the Generals 4-3 in regulation.
In the first frame, the show belonged to both goaltenders putting up some impressive starts for their teams. However, Northeast forward, Frank D’Ancona, took advantage of the 4:00 power play the Generals had, from a double minor, high-stick being called and Hat Tricks defenseman, Aiden Farro. Jump to the closing seconds of the period, Danbury was able to distract General’s goaltender, Toby Hopp, causing him to come out his crease, and Danbury forward, Alexios Georgaklis, burying the game-tying goal, with 9.9 seconds left in the period.
In the second frame, the Hat Tricks came out swinging, as 2:00 into the period, Wyatt Stefan would give Danbury a 2-1 lead. 2:39 later, Stefan scored again, in a similar situation to last Friday vs. Maryland, giving the Hat Tricks a 3-1 lead. The Generals would grab two more power play goals, following another double minor high-stick, this time on Danbury forward, Joey Mallozzi. Then they would tie the game up on a tripping call against Wyatt Stefan, ending the period 3-3.
in the final frame, Northeast forward, Tyler Ramm, would grab the eventual game winning goal, to make 4-3, only one minute into the period. Despite a physical battle from Danbury, being in the box was their ultimate downfall in this contest.
The Hat Tricks are on the road for final two games of the season vs. the Philadelphia Rebels on Friday the 5th and Saturday the 6th. Both games can be streamed on NATV.
