ODENTON, MD – The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (10-32-3-0, 23 pts) bounced back with a 2-1 win over the Maryland Black Bears (26-14-5-3, 60 pts) on Saturday night.
With the win, Danbury snapped a 10-game losing streak. Robert Hyde scored the first goal of the game late in the first period and was assisted by Hunter McCurdy and Peter Lychnikoff. Halfway through the second, Boris Skalos added one of his own on a feed from Gabe Dombrowski and Jazz Krivtsov.
Goaltender Connor McDonough stepped into the Hat Tricks net for his first start with the team and allowed just the one goal.
Saturday was the last time the Jr. Hat Tricks will face the Black Bears this season.
Danbury will be heading into the final game of a five-game road stretch where they will face the Northeast Generals at the New England Sports Village on March 12th.
