JAMESTOWN, NY – The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks’ (9-28-3-0, 21 pts) two top-scorers tallied goals on Saturday night, but Danbury dropped a road-contest 5-2 to the Jamestown Rebels (22-17-2-1, 47 pts).
After the Hat Tricks fell behind 3-0 after the first period, they took advantage of a major power-play late in the second.
Jazz Krivtsov (14) and Gabe Dombrowksi (17) each scored during the power-play to bring Danbury within a goal heading into the final frame. Boris Skalos assisted on both goals for his 12th and 13th assists, while Marian Haborak added his 12th assist on Dombrowski’s goal.
The Hat Tricks power-play was effective on Saturday night, but their penalty kill was not as productive.
Jamestown scored three power-play goals, including two in the third period to put the game out of reach.
Goaltender Marino Ramirez made 25 saves in his Hat Tricks debut, facing pressure from the Rebels throughout the game.
Danbury is back on home-ice next week as they face the Maine Nordiques for a pair of games on Thursday night and Friday afternoon.
