Cody Hoban and Edvard Nordlund have been named Honorable Mentions for the NAHL’s Bauer Hockey Stars of the Month at the forward and goaltending position, respectively.
Hoban earned two Honorable Mentions for Player of the Week earlier this season. He is currently tied for the team lead in scoring with six points, and leads the team with five assists. Hoban’s presence has also been felt on special teams, as he has contributed a goal and three assists while on the man advantage.
Nordlund won both starts in October, splitting time between the pipes with Josh Seeley. Nordlund stopped 23 of 25 in his first game, a road victory over the Northeast Generals, and saved 30 of 31 the following week against the Maryland Black Bears. He finished the month with a .946 save percentage and 1.50 goals-against average.
The Minot Minotauros earned top Forward and Goaltender of the Month honors, with awards going to Joseph Harguindeguy and Keenan Rancier. Maine’s James Philpott won Defender of the Month. The full list can be viewed here.
