The NAHL Danbury Hat Tricks split a weekend series with the Northeast Generals at Danbury Arena this weekend.
The Generals came away with a 1-0 win Friday afternoon on a third-period goal by Andrew DellaDonna. The Hat Tricks outshot Northeast but couldn’t put the puck in the net. Miles Roberts made 20 saves and then C.J. Kier relieved him in the third period, finishing with six saves. Peter Wickstrom finished with 29 saves for the shutout.
In the Saturday afternoon game, Northeast jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the second period. Noah Ziskie cut the deficit to one before the end of the frame before the Hat Tricks scored four goals, from Emerson Molas, Grant Dietz, Wyatt Stefan, and Mason Lupo with an empty net to secure a 6-3 victory. Kier stopped 19 of 22 shots to give Danbury their first win over Northeast this year.
The Hat Tricks are off this week. Their next game is a rematch against the Generals in Attleboro, Massachusetts on December 12.
