DANBURY, CT – The Danbury Hat Tricks return home for the first time in a month on Friday and Saturday night, as they open a seven-game homestand against the Jamestown Rebels. The Hat Tricks and Rebels will battle for the first time in each organization’s history, and the first game of eight between the conference rivals on the season.
Danbury and Jamestown sit in the bottom half of the NAHL’s eastern division and both teams look to capitalize off of good weekends their last time out.
Danbury dropped two close games to Maine but had season-high scoring outputs in the two games. Jamestown is coming off a win against Northeast and looks to ride the momentum into Danbury this weekend.
Although Danbury fell twice in Lewiston, head coach Billy McCreary noted that this weekend is a weekend where “we have got to put it all together.”
“We need to focus on strengthening the defensive side of the puck,” McCreary continued. “When we take care of the defensive side of the puck it makes offense for us.”
The Hat Tricks will rely on the scoring they have been getting from their top forwards. Including Ben Biester, Hunter Young, and Miles Harrington, all of whom scored multiple goals last weekend against the Nordiques.
Both Friday and Saturday’s games will be at 7 p.m. at Danbury Ice Arena. You can find tickets on our website or buy them at the gate! If you can’t make it out to the games, make sure to follow along on HockeyTV.
