JOHNSTOWN, PA – The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (10-35-3-0, 23 pts) fell 5-2 to the Johnstown Tomahawks (28-17-4-2, 62 pts) on Friday night during game one of a two-game series at the 1st Summit Arena at Cambria County War Memorial.
The game started with a goal by Gabe Dombrowski, which was assisted by Jazz Krivtsov. These two Jr. Hat Tricks remain at the top of the stat sheet, where together they have earned a total of 73 points this season. Dombrowski has 20 goals and 18 assists on the season and still, Krivtsov leads the team in assists with 21 while also chipping in 14 goals.
Logan Nickerson netted a goal late in the second period. His goal was assisted by Hunter McCurdy and Jake Howard.
Goaltender Connor McDonough was tested multiple times throughout the evening, making 32 saves.
The Jr. Hat Tricks will remain in Pennsylvania and face the Tomahawks again for the second game of this weekend series.
