Tale of the Tape
Danbury took a pair of rough losses on Friday and Saturday, falling to the New Jersey Titans 5-1 and 9-2 respectively. Chasing the Black Bears by 15 points, the Jr. Hat Tricks would love to get off the schneid against the team currently holding the final playoff spot.
Fortunately, Danbury has played well against the Maryland Black Bears. The Jr. Hat Tricks have won six of eight previous games between the two teams this season. The most recent matchup was on March 20th, with Danbury winning 2-0.
The Black Bears have been streaking of late, posting an 8-0-2 record over their last 10 games.
Players to watch:
Gabe Dombrowski, F (DHT)- Dombrowski has been a consistent bright spot, posting two points in the last two games. Dombrowski also scored the game-winner against the Maryland Black Bears back on February 26th, giving Danbury a sweep of that weekend’s series.
Alex Krause, F (DHT)- Krause has lit up the Maryland Black Bears this season, with five goals in eight games. Krause still has the hot hand, having scored the first of Danbury’s two goals on Saturday April 24th.
Luke Mountain, F (MYD)- The University of Vermont commit is a two-time East Division Star of the Week this season. Mountain is fourth on his team in scoring and is also coming off a game last Friday, April 23rd, in which he opened the scoring for his team.
